MEMS 1010: Experimental Methods in Materials Science and Engineering
This course introduces students to techniques for characterizing composition, structure, and properties of common engineering materials. There is also a strong focus on scientific writing.
MEMS 1070: Mechanical Behavior of Materials
This course covers the deformation and failure of materials, from large-scale continuum properties down to their atomistic origins. The course covers elastic and plastic deformation, as well as fracture and fatigue.
