Masoumeh Baghaei is a Ph.D. student in Bioengineering at the University of Pittsburgh. She earned her Pharm.D. from Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran, where she gained a strong foundation in pharmaceutical sciences and early research experience in cancer nanomedicine. With a growing interest in cancer biology, she is now contributing to projects in Dr. Roy's lab that explore the role of actin-binding proteins—particularly profilin-1—in cancer cell migration, invasion, and metastasis.
