Outstanding Senior Award. This award is given for excellence in academics, leadership, and service and is jointly “sponsored” by the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) Pittsburgh Chapter. The awardee is recognized with a plaque presented at the annual IISE Student Chapter Night held each October. Those graduating in December, April, or August of the current academic year are eligible.
Outstanding Academic Achievement Award. This award recognizes the member of the graduating class who has earned the highest overall cumulative GPA. Two awardees are recognized with a plaque, one presented at the December and one at the April graduation recognition events – with summer graduates being included in April.
Outstanding Service Award. This award recognizes an outstanding member of the graduating class who serves the community by applying IE principles and practices in an exemplary manner. Service to the community may include working with nonprofit and charitable organizations or other similar service experiences. The awardee is recognized with a plaque presented at either the December or April graduation recognition events. Students graduating in December, April, or August of the current academic year are eligible.
Outstanding Undergraduate Researcher Award. This award recognizes an outstanding member of the graduating class who has served in an exemplary manner as an undergraduate student researcher while earning an IE degree. The awardee is recognized with a plaque presented at either the December or April graduation recognition events. Students graduating in December, April, or August of the current academic year are eligible.
