The research interests of my group are in the fields of machine learning, statistical signal processing and optimization. Under my mentorship and oversight, my students develop machine learning methods (i) for optimization, adaptation and personalization of human computer interaction systems and assistive technologies, (ii) to analyze ambulatory and/or multimodal physiological data, (iii) to provide cognition to systems operating in nonstationary environments or demonstrating nonstationary behavior, and (iv) for probabilistic modeling and simulations of large and complex physical systems.
