Why you chose Pitt:

I chose Pitt because of the Pitt Excel program and its commitment to helping students like myself succeed and graduate from the school of engineering.  

Advice to a First Year Engineering Student:

Focus on your academics heavily this semester. Don’t worry about getting overly involved in clubs or organizations but really get a strong foundation academically and grow from there.

Extracurricular involvement and Future Goals:

On campus I am involved in Pitt Student Government Board (SGB) as a member of the Allocations Committee, a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), and an active member of the Pitt Excel Program. My future goals are to pursue a Master’s Degree of Engineering Management and work as a project/operations manager in manufacturing or logistics.
