Why did you choose Pitt?
I chose Pitt because the community of the engineering school felt so friendly and collaborative! Also, I wanted a campus that was urban but still had plenty of green space and parks.
Advice for First-Year Engineering Students
Find friends in your classes so you have someone to have fun with while you’re studying/doing homework! Also, use your weekends to go out and explore different Pittsburgh neighborhoods.
Extracurricular Involvement and Other Campus Jobs
I’m in Theta Tau (a co-ed engineering frat), the Society of Women Engineers, Strong Women Strong Girls (a non-profit that runs after school programs in Pittsburgh elementary schools), and I’ve played a few different intramural sports! I also have had various research jobs on campus.
Plans for the Future
I’m graduating in the spring and plan to go into industry, hopefully in human factors engineering.
