Decoding Orientation

We want your time during Swanson’s Orientation to be a chance to connect with your future classmates and get to know your department. Below you will find a key for how to decode Swanson’s 2021 Graduate Orientation. Your department’s corresponding colors will become familiar to you over your time at Swanson. Further, you shared with us in your RSVP what you were most excited about in calling Pittsburgh home. Whether you’re interested in food, sports, being outdoors, reading/gaming/movies, or connecting with your fellow grad classmates, you can find students with similar interest via the zoom background with icons found below AND your name tags during the department breakouts. You’ll see the zoom backgrounds below the decoding key to download and use during the zoom portion of orientation from 9am-10:30am. Please come prepared at 9am to have your camera turned on and your Zoom background loaded. We are excited to welcome you to campus and hope these little touches will allow you to meet other students and create new relationships whereby you can together experience all that Pittsburgh has to offer.
