As a continuation of an ongoing investigation, Andrew will be traveling to Sandia National Lab to use cutting edge equipment like an Environmental Transmission Electron Microscope (ETEM). Goal of this collaboration is to use ETEM to investigate how bimetallic nanoparticles coarsen and establish a connection to previous nanoscale adhesion experiments. This investigation is critical for understanding bimetallic nanoparticle stability, an important parameter in many applications such as chemical synthesis and cleaning pollution.
