The period following promotion to associate professor with tenure is an important time to reflect on past activities, develop new long-range plans and acquire further leadership skills. In addition, it is a time for re-energizing and reassessing past approaches to leading and balancing work and family. Through the executive coaching initiative, recently promoted associate professors work directly with an executive coach to address these topics through a personalized program that includes 360 reviews and a range of leadership-driven learning methods in areas such as organization, negotiation, problem solving, strategic planning, networking, goal setting, providing feedback and conflict management.
