From the Lab to the Trail
Students from the Swanson School of Engineering Mascaro Center for Sustainability, summer research participants, clear invasive vegitation and plant native trees and shrubs in the South Side Park, July 14, 2023.
Students in the Undergraduate Summer Research Program at the University of Pittsburgh Mascaro Center for Sustainable Innovation (MCSI) volunteered with Friends of South Side Park on Friday, July 14. The students removed invasive knotweed, planted trees and shrubs, installed an irrigation system, and performed trail maintenance.
