B.I.T.E. - Binding to Increase Tick Evasion

The IDEA Lab completed this project to design and develop a benchtop test rig to mimic CO2 emissions from human skin using a flow controller and sensors. The rig was created using laser cutting, vinyl cutting , and 3D printing. During testing, a variety of CO2 binding substrates will be evaluated as tick-repelling solutions.
