The IDEA Lab is a design and prototyping studio run by professional staff to support entrepreneurs, innovators, and makers looking to bring ideas to life. We provide the tools, expertise, and collaborative space to design, prototype, and refine products across hardware, software, and mobile applications.
Using human-centered design and rapid prototyping, we help you transform concepts into real-world solutions. From additive manufacturing and soft materials molding to electronics and embedded systems, our lab supports every stage of the innovation process.
We also offer experiential opportunities for students and emerging founders to gain practical skills, lead projects, and explore entrepreneurship firsthand.

B.I.T.E.
Designed a CO2 testing rig for the B.I.T.E. project with Dr. Jill Henning to evaluate tick-repelling substrates.
Ultrasound Simulator
Developed a neonatal epidural simulator with Dr. Mihaela Visoiu, providing realistic haptic and ultrasound training for anesthesiologists.
