The mission of the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Program is to develop a culture that promotes cultivation, creation, development, and launch of impactful ideas. We are working to achieve that mission through an interconnected network of curriculum, design and fabrication spaces, extra- and co-curricular programs, and dedicated staff and student volunteers. Our vision is to maximize opportunities for Pitt students to experience the spark of innovation in an open and collaborative learning community so that each student graduates with what it takes to make something amazing.
Makerspaces
A variety of spaces for student prototyping, collaborative design and community building.
IDEA Lab
A design engineering lab specializing in product development and prototyping.
XProjects
Immersive, fast-paced projects where students learn project management, communication, and prototyping skills on a guided team.
Certificate
The Innovation, Product Design, and Entrepreneurship Program features an interdisciplinary certificate, open to all Swanson undergraduates.
