Sarah Beckman

Faculty Mentor: Johnny Huard

Research: Ms. Beckman's work currently revolves around cell therapy for cardiovascular repair. Specifically, she works with a mouse model of muscular dystrophy and aims to improve function in the hearts of dystrophic mice using allogenic muscle derived stem cells (MDSCs). She also works on the role of angiogenesis in cardiac repair and pretreatment of myoblasts with antioxidants for cardiac repair
