Research:
Our lab works on developing novel cardaic assist devices. Specificially we are developing a soft robotic sleeve to be powered by our muscle energy convertor. This convertor takes the lattismus dorsi contractile energy and output a hydraulic power. The soft robotic sleeve will compress the ventricles during this hydraulic output. We conduct FEA cardaic simulations to optimize device parameters and to maximize ejection fraction while minimzing myocardial strain.
