Dr. Juan José Mendoza Arenas

Juan José Mendoza Arenas is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science of the University of Pittsburgh. He is also an Assistant Professor at the Department of Physics & Astronomy. He obtained his B.Sc. (2008) and M.Sc. (2010) at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, in Bogotá. Then he received his PhD in Physics at the University of Oxford (2015). Afterwards he took postdoctoral positions at the University of Oxford (2015), Universidad de los Andes (2016), and the University of Bristol (2021). He joined the University of Pittsburgh in 2023.
