Dr. Jereson Silva Valencia

I am a Full Professor in the Physics Department at the Universidad Nacional de Colombia. I received a B.Sc. (1995) and a MSc. (1997) from Universidad del Valle (Colombia) in Physics. Then I moved to Universidade Estadual de Campinas-Unicamp (Brazil), where I obtained my PhD. My research interests are in condensed matter physics and cold atom systems. Specifically, I use the density matrix renormalization group (DMRG) method to characterize diverse systems.
