Industry Partners
CMI invites industry collaborations with faculty of the School of Engineering and the Schools of Health Sciences on innovative projects that could advance the delivery of healthcare. Our industry partners are encouraged to provide projects, lecture/workshops, and networking opportunities for our students. In return, the industry participants gain access to clinicians, engineers, and the best student innovators without incurring burdensome costs.
Clinician Partners
Clinicians participate in CMI research programs by competing in a semi-annual early stage seed grant competition. The CMI matches clinicians with talented engineering faculty and their students to advance the development of prototypes, models, and preclinical testing projects. Clinicians are also invited to act as mentors for teams of students in our MS-Medical Product Engineering program. Resulting project work has sometimes evolved into efforts that have been funded by CMI.
