Anna Kelly

I am a 2022 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in Bioengineering and Chemistry minor. I’ve primarily performed research in the areas of cardiac tissue engineering and vascular kinetics. My work involved the fabrication of multilayer tissue engineered vascular grafts and the study of vascular smooth muscle cell motility in reaction to various stimuli. I am exploring neural engineering to expand my knowledge of the tissue engineering field and to perform interesting interdisciplinary work. I aim to study the effects of neural electrical stimulation on resident immune cells, peripheral leukocytes, and the blood brain barrier.
