Pejman Ghelich
Pejman Ghelich is a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Pittsburgh with a PhD in Biomedical Engineering and a strong commitment to developing translational neurotechnologies for cardiovascular and pain applications. His research spans invasive neural implants, non-invasive wound therapies, and electrochemical biosensors, with each project grounded in the mission of creating tools that improve health outcomes.
The overarching goal of Pejman’s postdoctoral research at the NTE Lab is to develop a minimally invasive, neurotransmitter-guided stimulation system for neuromodulation in neurocardiology and pain management applications. He is currently focused on advancing his skills in microsurgery, closed-loop bioelectronics, and scientific leadership, with the aim of becoming an independent academic researcher developing bioelectronic medicine technologies to treat cardiovascular diseases and sympathoexcitation.
