I received my B.S.E in Biomedical Engineering from Tulane University where I worked on imaging and computational modeling projects. I developed my interest in neural interfaces and neuromodulation during a semester exchange at the National University of Singapore where I got involved in Dr. Nitish Thakor’s lab. In the NTE lab, I am working on developing better neurodevices for safe and stable performance in vivo and investigating the effects of electrical microstimulation on neurons and glial cells.

Current works:

  • Microglia response to electrical stimulation in vivo in mice
  • Material safety/stability of microelectrodes and effects of stimulation in vitro
  • Microfabrication of neural devices
  • Magnetic insertion of flexible neural probes
