Responsibilities: Leading a group of postdocs and PhD students conducting research on various sponsored projects, proposal and report writing, archival publications and, as an option if desired, teaching one course per year for professional preparation.

Required Skillset: Experimental design, measurement techniques and methods associated with instrumenting and testing in mechanical and thermal sciences; laser measurements; applied mathematics and data processing; and strong interest in basic and applied research.

Required Educational Background: Applicant must have a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a closely-related field. Industry and/or postdoc experience is desirable.

This is a non-tenure track, renewable contract faculty position with no predetermined end date. It is ideally suited for someone who wants to pursue a career in research or academia.
