Whether you are a prospective first-year student interested in the Swanson School of Engineering or you are already a Swanson School student, this site was designed to provide you with all of the information you need to get the hang of your first year of Engineering studies, quickly and easily.
The First-Year Engineering Program strives to develop, maintain, and promote a supportive environment conducive to the recruitment, academic advising, personal development, and retention of undergraduate engineering students.
This can be achieved by:
- Encouraging successful personal and academic growth by providing courses, programs, and support/guidance specific to the first-year engineering experience
- Providing a medium for selected undergraduate students to enhance professional skills such as team-building, communication, and organization while contributing to the engineering community
